I have a 210 Gallon Reef Tank that I’m currently setting up. I have a 30 Gallon Sump and a 30 Gallon Refugium. I know the common rule is 3-5 watts x gallon. However i have seen 180 Gallon tank with the Nova T5 fixture that has all types of coral growing fine. I’m trying to figure out what the huge advantage of going with the Higher Watts vs Lower Watts. There is a huge difference in price but as far as the long run.. I don’t know.. I know my electric bill will be much less going with the T5′s. Whats your opinion and why?

Because you’d be well over the rule of “2 watts per gallon”. And you know the price of that other 1134W light?
I don’t know for sure, this is your choice, I’m just saying that the price is a pretty HUGE difference and you’d be well over the “2W per gallon” rule.
