Can I just rinse the carbon filter on my air purifier?
The carbon wraparound filter is very dusty and has cat hair on it. If I just rinse it with warm water, will it still be effective? Or does it do something to the carbon?
Yes, backwards of the normal airflow.
Make sure it is thoroughly dry before using in an
electrical appliance. Most manufacturers recommend
air drying for 24 hours, but a blow drier can also do
the job more quickly.
