love bird problem!! can i add 2 new peach faced (blue) lovebird to a cage with a blue ring eyed lovebird?
i have a blue eye ringed love bird which was with me for sum time his/her mate now i have a pair of peah faced love bird dat i added to my blue 1s cage but dey seem to hate da blue guy dey keep chasing da poor blue guy will dey get along or should i move dem .the cage is -
width-1foot
breath-1 and a half foot
height-1 and a half
You should “Never”add any new Lovebirds to the cage or aviary of an established pair or group.
This is Fatal as the resident birds will “Kill” any newcomers to their “territory” and that is what is going to happen with your new bird.
Your cage is much too small even for your pair,you need something at least twice the size.
The only way you could get the three to live together is too separate into two cages place alongside each other for at least two weeks then put them in to a larger cage,but watch for any fighting.
Lovebirds “must” be put together at the same time you can not add to a current flock.
